Our story began long before our family ever set foot in the Tuli Block. It starts on a farm in Somabhula, Zimbabwe, where the Shaw family lived and worked, surrounded by open skies, wildlife, and the simple, grounding beauty of the bush. Although Glenn later moved to Johannesburg and raised his sons there, those early years shaped who he was—and, in time, who his sons Brandon and Daniel would become. Countless holidays spent on that same Zimbabwean farm grew into treasured memories, teaching them to love the outdoors and the quiet joy of family, nature, and the rhythm of the land in contrast to city life.
Nine years ago, with that passion pioneered by Glenn, our family and friends decided to purchase a photographic game farm in the Tuli Block of Botswana—a place that immediately felt like home. For Glenn, a civil engineer with a lifelong love of building and the bush, this land became far more than an investment. It became his retirement dream: to create a place where families and friends could reconnect, unwind, and experience the magic of the wilderness together.
Today, we strive to uphold that vision at Mopani on Tuli. Over the past nine years, the old, run-down farmhouse has been transformed into a beautifully renovated, family-style homestead where comfort and simplicity invite a sense of closeness with nature, friends, and loved ones. Set within 2,600 hectares of diverse landscapes, our farm offers an authentic and peaceful retreat filled with free-roaming wildlife, rich birdlife, and the quiet charm that defines the Tuli region.
Although Glenn passed away in 2021 at our heart, we are a family who believes in the value of time spent together, in the lessons the bush teaches, and in sharing this remarkable corner of Botswana with others. Whether you’re here to photograph wildlife, reconnect with nature, or simply enjoy good company around a fire, we hope you feel the same sense of belonging that inspired us to open this place to you.
We welcome you to our piece of wilderness—where our story continues, and where we hope you will become part of it too.

A unbelievable bush experience! Stunning lodge, with en suite accommodation, a pool overlooking watering hole, finished with fire side dinners. Breakfast can be enjoyed on game drives overlooking extraordinary Limpopo River - everything you could ask for delivered by knowledgeable and friendly staff. There is the option to sleep under the stars in a tree house in the middle of the bush for a night overlooking a dam frequented by large Elephant herds. All round, an absolute must place to visit for a proper bush experience.

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this lodge a few times, and I can truly say it always left me wanting more. It has become my destination of choice when you need that break away from city life. The accommodation is incredible and the gardens and wildlife are breathtaking. 10/10 would recommend!

Mopani - A beautiful bush experience with a surprise around every corner. Abundance of game, breathtaking Limpopo River, lapa brekkies and a cool dip after a hot game drive.

We had an unforgettable stay at Mopani Farm in Botswana! The lodge is absolutely gorgeous and luxurious, and the staff couldn't be more wonderful and helpful. My favorite spot in the lodge was the swimming pool—truly a perfect spot to relax. The surrounding bushveld is wild and stunning, with beautiful koppies, dry scrubby areas, incredible rock formations and salt pans that set the perfect backdrop for safari adventures. We saw up close wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and so much more. The absolute highlight was enjoying coffee on the banks of the Limpopo River—I've never witnessed anything as wild and majestic. Highly recommend Mopani Farm for an experience that blends luxury with the raw beauty of nature!

This safari lodge in the Thuli Block delivered an absolutely extraordinary experience - from our pristine, secluded house that felt like a private sanctuary to practicing yoga beside the legendary Limpopo River, witnessing the rare delight of otters playing in their natural habitat, and savoring incredible home-cooked meals prepared with such care, all while enjoying completely private, untouched wildlife viewing opportunities in Botswana's breathtaking wilderness. Thank you to Brandon, Lee and all the staff for making our stay so memorable
